Our Bottle Story

My journey into the world of Korean wines began with a serendipitous twist of fate. While escaping the corporate grind on a solo trekking trip through Georgia’s breathtaking mountains, I stumbled upon an unexpected encounter with a group of fellow Koreans who happened to be winemakers.

Being a devoted wine lover, I was drawn into the rich tapestry of Georgia’s wine culture — the birthplace of wine, with over 8,000 years of winemaking history. I decided to deviate from my trekking plans and join the group to visit Georgia vineyards, to soak in the legendary winemaking traditions and the diverse grape varieties that make Georgian wines so captivating.

Over shared sips and stories with these Korean winemakers, I was introduced to the enchanting uniqueness of Korean wines, crafted from indigenous grapes I had never savoured. As a lifelong wine enthusiast, I was intrigued — and totally smitten.

After having countless French vintages, I found the Singapore wine scene uninspiring and overly focused on mainstream labels. The thought of why these hidden gems from Korea are missing from the shelves nagged at me.

Fuelled by curiosity and passion, I embarked on a whirlwind adventure back to my homeland, Korea. I visited vineyards steeped in tradition, met winemakers whose resilience and artistry were as compelling as their wines, and immersed myself in the delicate dance of Korean culture and viticulture. I was moved by each story behind every bottle — poignant, authentic, and utterly captivating.

That was it. I knew I had to bring these stories and flavours to my home in Singapore!

It wasn’t just about importing wine; it was about opening a window to a world of craftsmanship and culture that deserved applause. Today, I am on a mission to introduce Singapore’s growing community of wine appreciators to these extraordinary bottles — each one a testament to the artistry and heart of Korean winemaking.
