GamTan-Ju – luminous modern homage to one of Joseon’s most elegant historic liquors, Gwahaju. a liquor that Admiral Yi Sun-sin himself was known to enjoy! It was called “a liquor to endure the summer,” embodying Korean elegance and poetic spirit. 

Made from organic rice grown from Buyeo and intensely aromatic Jeju Hallabong citrus, it offers a crystal-clear profile that feels both refined and fresh. GamTanJu deliberately steps away from the heavy body and pungent fermented notes of traditional Gwahaju, instead shining a spotlight on Hallabong’s vivid perfume and a clean, elegant finish. 

Citrus top notes lead with fragrant Hallabong zest, followed by muscat grape-like mid-palate aromas and fresh green undertones that lift the nose. On the palate, the soft, gentle flavor of rice folds into this citrus-and-grape spectrum, creating a silky, modern profile.
 
Served well-chilled as an aperitif or alongside light appetizers, GamTanJu is particularly well suited to seafood and It stands up beautifully to spicy fare where its brightness cuts through heat and oil.
