Chusa 50 Korean apple brandy that sets a new benchmark in distilled spirits, seamlessly blending tradition with modern barrel finishing. Made from 100% Yesan apples, this spirit is carefully fermented and distilled through a multi-stage traditional process, then aged in two stages—for depth and character.
The base spirit, a robust 59% before dilution, first rests in heavy-toasted French oak barrels crafted in Portugal. Its journey continues in Taransaud barrels that previously housed Syrah red wine, adding layers of fruit complexity and spice.
Chusa 50 opens with opulent aromas: dark berries (blackberry, black cherry, plum), hints of red wine, leather, dried rose, pepper, clove, cinnamon, honey, and chocolate create a striking, bouquet-like nose.
On the palate, the full-bodied fruit—notes of blueberry, raspberry, and fig—meld with delightful Syrah tannins, dry texture, and seamless oak and spice. The finish is long, dry, and expressive, echoing fruit peel bitterness, subtle smokiness, and Syrah’s signature spice with touches of cinnamon, vanilla, chocolate, hazelnut, and coffee.
Best enjoyed straight or over ice to appreciate its depth, elegance, and the soulful layers imparted by Yesan’s orchards and fine French oak barrels.
